This is a purpose built hotel in traditional style with a beautifully decorated exterior, and plenty of marble design work. It is located in the heart of the city on the banks of the river Arno and is arguably one of the most elegant hotels in Florence. The lobby area is large with luxuriously painted celings, marble flooring and columns throughout. All the guest rooms are of a very high standard and quality. The walls have been decorated with 'Stutto-Veneziano' (a type of polish) giving a beautiful shine in different shades. The furniture has been individually selected and many of the pieces are restored antiques. There is an elegant restaurant, which is in keeping with the expensive and traditional feel of the hotel.
