The hotel is situated very close to Piazza Dell'Indipendenza and the Fortezza da Basso. It is just a ten minute walk from Florence's principal tourist attraction, the Duomo.

The hotel is composed of two buildings. The original building a renaissance period Palace was designed by the famous architect Cosimo Bartoli. The hotel contains an annexe which is directly opposite the older building. Rooms in both buildings are identical in terms of standard and comfort. The hotel lobby is large with the reception desk situated at the far end. The reception staff are friendly. The large rooms are apartment style and, some of them have a fitted kitchen area at a supplement. The rooms contain large armchairs and tables. The floors are ceramic tiled "Cotta" style. Both the rooms and bathrooms are in good condition. The hotel does not have a restaurant, however it does have a spacious breakfast room which again contains a tiled ceramic floor. It is decorated in white with wooden tables and chairs. This hotel is an excellent property in an ideal location. In addition there is a roof terrace and a quiet spacious courtyard/garden area where guests can relax in a peaceful and serene environment.
