The hotel is very centrally located on the main road that leads from the station to the Duomo, and is within walking distance of all the major historical sites.

The hotel is housed in a traditional Florentine building dating from the sixteenth century formerly belonging to the Medici family. The hotel lobby is very small, decorated with terracotta tiles and wooden furniture and is located on the first floor, the lift starts from this floor. The hotel rooms vary in size, a third are small, a third medium and a third large. They are kept in good condition as are the bathrooms. The rooms are very well appointed and many have original features dating from when the Medici family inhabited the building. There is no restaurant available. This is a unique hotel so not all the rooms are identical but the location is excellent.
