On arrival, no bellboy to help with luggage. Location is good, but you need to go through unlit allies to get there. At night, this isn't ideal. Room looks nothing like pictures on the website. My room was virtually the size of the bed, had a window that opened to a brick wall, had very poor ventilation, smelt like garlic from the cooking next door or something, water from the bathroom leaked outside despite shower doors being closed, mold on showerhead. There is no "ironing room" available although advertised on their website. You will need to walk steps despite there being lifts throughout the hotel just because of the setup. Internet is 15EURO for 12hrs. The staff is very pompus - even the staff at breakfast room. Breakfast sent to your room is very minimal and 4EURO each time, although reading material in your room will tell you it's 3. For a 4 star hotel, it was very disappointing. Maids simply decided not to put slippers in my room or replenish the toiletries when cleaning my room.

Top Tip

Go to the Calzaioli Hotel instead. Friendliest staff, best location, nicest NICEST rooms and complimentary toiletries eg. shampoo, soaps are much nicer. Room was literally 4 times the size of the Brunelleschi, price was the same.

Nice hotel & great location, very central. But... staff is VERY RUDE, especially barman (who always watches TV) & reception stuff. Make sure you'll check price list for mini bar with the one at the reception, as prices are vary. We have been served coffee in a tea pot with no lead on it!!

In need of a upgrade - a long time since this hotel had any money spent on the rooms.very difficult to get to if you have a car.
