The Astoria Boscolo Hotel is housed in a building that boasts typical Florentine architecture dating from the 16th century, with beautiful woodcarving, various flags flying outside and an imposing entrance. The large lobby features polished marble floors covered with ornate Persian rugs and several gold leaf chandeliers. There is a grand piano in the corner and a large variety of seating - from black leather sofas and armchairs to handmade wooden chairs with wicker backs. The spacious guestrooms contain blue fitted carpets, handmade walnut furniture and beige walls covered with unique frescoes, all of which combine to create a very traditional atmosphere.
